Pra Te Abraçar

In Pra Te Abraçar, Iara presents new songs, mostly composed during the pandemic period. There are seven duets, with the participation of the respective partners in the authorship of each track: Céu, Thalma de Freitas, Joy Espíndola, Alzira E, Duda Brack, Ava Rocha and Josyara, in addition to five tracks, where the author solos, among them partnerships with Tiganá Santana, poet ArrudA, Lucina and Peri. The album shows a type of phonographic record unprecedented in the artist's discography, very intimate, where the songs are practically naked and newborn. With the exception of the tracks Virá (with keyboards played by Céu) and Sol a Sol (with Alzira E on bass and Peri Pane on cello), the accompaniment is only the guitar. The records were made from the eponymous web series, produced between March and April 2021

aphrodisiac

Within the poetics of love and sexuality - attributes of Aphrodite - the album brings together recordings from different eras with poem-tracks created from the erotic poetry book Lingua Brasa Carne Flor (Iara Rennó, Editora Patuá, 2015) with the visual identity an essay by photographer Caroline Bittencourt.

AfrodisiacA is a love affair of poetry and music, which begins with a photo shoot, turns into video art, gains flavors in gastronomy, and is essentially born to encourage the (re)discovery of female pleasure. Starting with contents of hearing, seeing and tasting through the five (or more) senses, AphrodisiacA engenders in itself signifiers and meanings in kinaesthetic and intersemiotic art.

Macunaíma Tupi Opera

Originally released in 2008, the disc finally hits digital platforms through the SESC label . The work has already become a reference for musical creation from the modernist book by Mário de Andrade, Macunaíma - O Herói Sem No Character (1928). Since then, the show that was born with the album has continued with readings and montages in different formats.

Acting as a singer, composer, instrumentalist, arranger and music producer, Iara Rennó shows compositions made from fragments of Macunaíma's text – O Herói Sem No Character, by Mário de Andrade (1928).

Iara

Produced by Moreno Veloso, the album was recorded by Iara (guitar and voice), Ricardo Dias Gomes (synth bass) and Leo Monteiro (drums and samplers). In the words of Romulo Fróes: “First of all, one thing needs to be said: IARA is a rock record! And here, I'm not referring to the genre, but to the transgressive spirit typical of the style in its best moments. (...) We recognize in him the great work that Iara Rennó has been building throughout his career, at the same time that we are surprised by his reinvention."
